This morning the club was delighted to celebrate Bishop Paul's silver jubilee, and also twenty five years patronage. A tree planting ceremony took place near the 1st green on the pitch and putt course.
Bishop Colton planted an Irish oak tree and expressed his wishes that the tree would thrive and that Garryduff would thrive.
The club presented the Bishop with a men’s first team hockey shirt to mark the occasion. Those present adjourned to the bar for coffee and cakes just as the rain began to fall, swiftly followed by a trip to the stand to watch the Ladies' 1st team earn a 2-2 draw with Crescent.
Thanks to all who organised and attended the occasion, especially Carol, Dave, Diane and Steph.
